Invero Business Systems

Here is the first System I have created for Invero. This system is an attempt to create a professional system that still incorporates the look of a family business without swaying to far outside those parameters.

A few notes to the parts I have included:

1 Folder to contain everything
1 business card
1 envelope to send the folder
2 cover letters or business description flyers (working on this)

Feel free to let me know what you think.
I am also working on adding some more elements to this piece. My biggest concern for this direction at the moment is it feels a littler sterile, as if it was leaning to much on the safe side and not portraying a very family oriented feel. Initial thoughts that came to mind involved working with more curvaceous shapes or perhaps working in some gradients.

I did for the first time include an alternate color scheme to my logo, along with introducing the alternate color scheme this is the first chance to see the logo using a deeper blue. The alternate color is white lettering on the blue background but still maintaining the orange V. comments on this would be much appreciated.

Your pieces are progressing well, and I'm glad to see you working with some photographs. Here are my suggestions:

-the blue color you are using is a bit heavy and not fresh or light enough
-the photographs are good quality, but too technical and sad– if you are 'giving life back to the patient,' your photographs should be more focused on life, activity, and smiling happy people! (i.e., they don't necessarily need to look 'sick' or like they're bedbound)
-Curved shapes are good, and need to be mimicked in all pieces. Think about unique ways in which the "v" symbol can integrate better within the photographs you choose– as is, it is floating and not integrated. Outlining it in white seems unexpected as well

We can talk more on Weds, and hopefully you will receive comments from a few other classmates before then as well!

heyooooooooooo. I like the heart monitor, but there could be some changes. Possibly consider taking the stroke off of the shape, or making it a light blue so it goes better with the background...making it a bit more subtle rather than a main focus.

I like the orange better now that its this color. or did you not change it? Maybe it looks different on screen than printed. Have you tried lightening up the blue? It seems a little heavy on the bottom of the letterhead. I like it, but trying different things never hurts! Also, is there a reason the address on the letterhead is blue? it's very hard to read (maybe its the size of the picture), but maybe just simply make it black. basic black :-)

I'm unsure about the tagline, "giving life back to the patient". It seems a little long. Maybe simply saying, "giving life back". Wait...are the patients only children? I'm confused now! Since you only have kids in your pictures its making me confused and I thought it was an all ages thing. hmm...but i think giving life back gets the point across!

ttfn ta ta for now!

Did you have another option of a system?

The pieces in this option fit together well and the color changes are effective. Inverting the logo on the darker blue integrates the logo with other page elements.

In looking at the heart monitor motif, it works on the business card but seems awkward on the folders and envelope. I think this is because the concept of a heart monitor extends off the page which matches a true heart monitor. Cutting it off in the other pieces suggests more of a start and stop which is not what you want to see in a heart monitor.

You might want to include images of other patients, such as the elderly. The two images of the girl suggests your company is devoted to helping sick children similar to the mission of the Shriner's Hospital. I would, however, keep the images of the girl. She promotes the idea of family and medical care simultaneously.

The colors you chose are great. They suggest a medical company with a more fun, or even a bit laid back style, within the orange. This color scheme works best in the business card. The large block of orange supports the company design concept well.

Hope that helps!

I feel that your use of a traditional business system is very appropriate for the company that you have. Just a couple thoughts on what you have:

Letters:
I really enjoy the large image on the back of the letters. The images you chose are strong and definitely pulls at the emotional strings of the viewer. I would maybe consider what you are trying to communicate through these images. I would maybe see a child or family healthy and happy because your tagline is “giving life back to the patient”. Right now the use of a sick girl isn’t telling me that your company is giving life back to her…not yet atleast. The curved line that you use on the bottom of the letters is nice but is contrasting with the sharp lines and edges of the “lifeline” graphic. Maybe flipping the orange lifeline and offsetting it to the right and using that as your solid area on the bottom rather than the curve…maybe not though because I do like the nice flow of that line.

Folder
I like how you are using a three fold, it’s a unique idea and I look forward to seeing it. The diagonal corners play off of the V and lifeline well. Maybe make it so it’s the same angle of the V, I can’t tell if it already is.

Business Cards
I really like the back of your business card with the lifeline and slogan. The use of the invero in the white box is a little odd just because its not being used in a rectangular area anywhere else. Could you do white text with a blue v?

All in all its very cohesive and looks really developed already! Very business, and I do agree I don’t get as much of a family feel from it but I think with the photographs that will help.
